Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Raun Schrock, doing business as GlanceTrack (“GlanceTrack,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website at glancetrack.com and the GlanceTrack service at app.glancetrack.com.

1. Information we collect

On our website

• Advertising measurement. Our website uses the Meta pixel, which uses cookies and similar technology to record visits, such as pages viewed and browser and device information. We use it to measure and improve our advertising. The Meta pixel is not used in GlanceTrack dashboards.
• Messages you send us. If you email us, for example to request a trial, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include.

When you use the Service

• Account information: your company name, a contact email, your plan, and the number of trucks you’re billed for.
• Samsara data. When you connect Samsara, you authorize read-only access through Samsara’s official sign-in (OAuth). We read the data your dashboard needs, which can include vehicle names and identifiers, engine status, odometer and mileage, fuel efficiency, preventive maintenance schedules, inspection dates and other date attributes you’ve set up, vehicle defect reports (DVIRs), driver names and vehicle assignments, driver medical certificate expiration dates, trailer assignments, and, on the Pro plan, vehicle location.
• Display information. When you pair a display, we store the name you give it, when it was last seen, and its most recent IP address. The display keeps a secure cookie containing a device token; we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of that token.
• Billing information. Stripe processes your payments. We store Stripe’s customer and subscription identifiers and your billing status. We don’t receive or store your card number.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records routine request logs, such as IP addresses and error messages, which we use for security and troubleshooting.

2. How we use information

• to provide the Service, including showing your fleet data on your displays and keeping displays connected;
• to bill you and manage your subscription;
• to secure the Service and prevent misuse;
• to provide support and communicate with you about your account; and
• on our website, to measure and improve our advertising.

We don’t sell personal information. We don’t use your fleet data, including driver information, for advertising, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

3. Driver and employee information

Your dashboards can show information about your drivers, such as names, vehicle assignments, medical certificate expiration dates, and, on Pro, vehicle locations. We process this information on your behalf and under your instructions, solely to provide the Service to you. You’re responsible for giving any notices, and obtaining any consents, your drivers or employees are entitled to. On the Basic plan, vehicle location is removed before any data is stored, and location isn’t shown.

4. How we share information

We share information only:

• with service providers that help us run GlanceTrack: Cloudflare (hosting, database, security, and email forwarding), Stripe (payments), and, for our website only, Meta (advertising measurement). Our dashboards and website also load the Inter font from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google a standard request that includes your IP address;
• with Samsara, only in the sense that we request data from your Samsara account using the access you granted. We don’t send your data to Samsara;
• when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our customers, the public, or GlanceTrack; and
• as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

5. How we protect information

• Samsara access credentials are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM), and our access is read-only and limited to what your dashboard needs.
• Display device tokens are stored only in hashed form, and each display can be revoked individually.
• All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
• Administrative access to GlanceTrack is protected by identity verification and a separate password.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information, and we’ll notify affected customers of a security incident involving their data as required by law.

6. How long we keep information

• Pro dashboards request fleet data from Samsara live; we don’t keep a copy.
• Basic dashboards use a snapshot of vehicle and maintenance data refreshed about every hour; each refresh replaces the previous one.
• Account, display, and billing records are kept while your account exists.
• Request logs are kept for a few days.
• When your account is deleted, your data is removed from our active systems. Deleted data may remain in database backups for up to 30 days before it’s permanently removed.
• Stripe keeps its own payment records as required by law, under Stripe’s privacy policy.

7. Your choices and rights

• Revoke access. You can remove GlanceTrack’s access at any time in your Samsara account settings. Your dashboard will stop updating.
• Access, correction, and deletion. Email hello@glancetrack.com to request a copy of the information we hold about your account, to correct it, or to delete it. We’ll respond within 30 days.
• Website cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage Meta ad settings in your Facebook account.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Contact us and we’ll help.

Drivers: if your information appears on a GlanceTrack dashboard, your employer controls that information, so please contact them first. You can also contact us and we’ll work with them to address your request.

8. Children

GlanceTrack is a business service and isn’t directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to this policy

We’ll post updates on this page with a new “Last updated” date. For material changes, we’ll email account contacts before the changes take effect.
